Zig-Zag Kick Ball takes place from 2-4 p.m. on Friday at the Youth Center.

Manzano Mountain Retreat

Manzano Mountain Retreat takes place from 10-11:30 a.m. on Saturday. 

The cost is $40 (reg $119). 

Join ODR for a day of fun adrenaline activities at Manzano Mountain Retreat. Enjoy both a high- and low-rope course and zip-lining. After the fun, enjoy a delicious lunch.

ODR: Whitewater Rafting Trip

A whitewater rafting trip takes place from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. 

The cost is $40 a person for those 14 and older (minimum of 90 lbs.).   

The racecourse run is the most popular whitewater rafting and kayaking stretch in the state, with continuous rapids for 4.5 miles. Trip includes transportation, safety gear, trip lead, ride lead/guide and entry fee.

4-H: Egg to Chick

An Egg to Chick event takes place from 1-3 p.m. at the Youth Center. 

This event is for ages 9-18 and is free for members and $2.50 for non-members. Join 4-H members as they set up for chick eggs in the Center of Innovation. Learn about the science behind chick incubation and embryology while waiting for the chicks to hatch.

Retiree Group Preseparation Briefing  

Retiree Group Preseparation Briefing takes place from 8-11:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Consolidated Support Facility, Building 20245, in Room 120. Step 1 of TAP is Preseparation Counseling, which is documented on the DD Form 2648 and is mandatory for all separating/retiring military members.  Preseparation Counseling may be completed by attending a group briefing or individually by appointment.

Officer First Duty Station Brief

Officer First Duty Station Brief takes place from 1-2:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the A&FRF training room.

Participants will learn about personal financial budgets, debt reduction, Thrift Savings, the Air Force Aid Society and other financial topics to assist themselves and those they supervise. 

All first-duty station officers are required to attend this brief within 90 days of being assigned to KAFB.

Red Cross Certified Lifeguard Training

Lifeguard training takes place from 9 to 5:30 p.m. on June 13, 15, 18 and 20. 

The cost is $70/person and is for ages 16 and older. This 4-day class will be held at the indoor pool.

EFMP Family Empowerment Support Group

TWA Crash Site Hike

Horseback Riding

Horseback Riding takes place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 17 and costs $40 per person (regularly $101) and is for ages 7 and older. 

Saddle up and explore the beauty of New Mexico’s rugged canyons, petrified sand dunes, the cool shallow waters of the Rio Grande and everything in between. 

Trip includes transportation, safety gear, trip lead/guide, and entry fee. Come dressed ready to ride; we suggest layered clothes. Bring water and lunch.
